Memphis Fire Fighters Foundation
In 2013, we created the Memphis Fire Fighters Association Foundation, an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization, to serve as our charitable arm on behalf of our members. This foundation is run by the Executive Board of the Memphis Fire Fighters Association.
The foundation runs four funds under its umbrella: Charity Fund, Family Assistance Fund, Scholarship Fund, and Burn Fund Our Charity Fund is used to give to charitable endeavors in the Memphis community in the name of and on behalf of, the men and women of the Memphis Fire Fighters Association. Some of the charities we support are the MDA, LivItUp (formerly United Cerebral Palsy), Make A Wish, Ronald McDonald House, West Cancer Center, and many more. Our Family Assistance Fund is to help provide financial assistance to members of the Memphis Fire Fighters Association who are off work due to a long term illness or injury, or to assist a member who had a catastrophic event at their home such as fire, flood, tornado, etc.
Our Scholarship Fund grants ten (10) $1,000 scholarships to children of Memphis Fire Fighters Association members. These children are drawn by random drawing each year.
Our Burn Fund is to assist the doctors and nurses at the Firefighters Burn Center at Regional One Health. We're able to provide the staff there with needed equipment, supplies, and training to deal with the patients they treat day in and day out.
