The Helathcare Oversight Committee met on March 11, 2010 at City Hall.  They rejected the 12.25% increase that we had submitted the week before and told us they wanted to raise the premiums by 25%.  We presented a proposal that calls for a 12% increase in premiums starting on July 1, 2010.  We feel this could help ease the burden of members' pockets and build the funds back up that the City says they need in the Health Insurance Fund..  They will be running the numbers on our latest proposal.

We have another meeting scheduled for March 19, 2010 at 2:00pm in the City Council Conference Room at City Hall.  I encourage any of who who are available to attend.
